About Rookahead

Rookahead is a free chess game review. Paste a game, and Stockfish 19 grades every move, from Legendary to Blunder, works out each side’s accuracy and picks out the key moments. You can step through the game, explore other moves with the live engine, and share a game or a single move as a link, an image, a GIF or an embedded board.

There’s no account to create and no limit on how many games you review.

How it works

Stockfish runs inside your browser, on your own device, using all of its processor cores. Your games are never uploaded to us: the analysis happens on your computer or phone, which is why Rookahead can be free and unlimited.

Rookahead is free software under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later. The source code is on GitHub.
